MetaCell is proud to support our client, Padraig Gleeson, who is running the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April. Padraig is running to raise money for Farm Africa, a charity dedicated to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in eastern Africa.
Farm Africa's work is actively addressing many of the big issues in today's world: environmental loss, inequality, sustainability of the global food system. This is a key motivation for Padraig, who said: "I particularly like the practical aspects of Farm Africa's work - making a difference to people directly affected by climate change and economic hardship, and allowing them to increase their incomes and improve their livelihoods, rather than just giving them handouts."
Padraig, who works at University College London, has been a MetaCell client for many years, and we have collaborated in making the Open Source Brain platform a globally leading resource for cutting edge computational modelling and data sharing in neuroscience.
MetaCell is delighted to support him in his marathon run and this great cause, which aligns with our values of alleviating the effects of climate change while improving the lives of people around the world.
